In Loving Memory of D. Clare Bambury

It is with profound sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of D. Clare Bambury, who passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on June 14.

Clare was the beloved wife of Roy Bambury, devoted mother of Christine Cosgrove (Ryan) and Candice Bambury, proud grandmother to Keagan Cosgrove and Rowyn Cosgrove, loving sister to Sandra Barrett (Ray) and Blehr (Debbie) who brought endless joy to her life.

Known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to her family, Clare had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. Her compassion, grace, and quiet strength touched all who knew her.

A woman of deep faith, Clare’s devotion to the Catholic Church guided her throughout her life. Her faith provided strength, comfort, and purpose, and she lived its values through kindness, generosity, and service to others.

Family was the center of Clare’s world. She treasured the countless hours spent at basketball courts and swimming pools supporting her daughters, summer days by the lake, floating in the ocean, reading, traveling, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. One of her greatest joys was spending winters in Mexico surrounded by family and friends.

Those who loved Clare will forever remember one of her favorite expressions: “Kisses for your heart bank, hugs to keep you warm.” These words reflected the love and warmth she shared so freely throughout her life.

As per Clare's request her body has been donated to science through the Human Donation Program at Dalhousie University.

At a later time there will be a service to celebrate Clare's life to be determined by Dalhousie.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Clare's death today. Our friendship began over 50 years ago - early apartment days, children born, life goes on, swim meets, Mexico - and so on... and always , no matter how much time went by , an instant connection on being together again...Our sincerest condolences to Roy and the family and to the many, many folks who loved Clare. Safe home, Clare- safe home.
