We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Greg MacAdam, who left us peacefully in the early morning hours of August 5, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by love at Hospice Halifax.

Born on November 13, 1956, in Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, Greg grew up with a deep love for the outdoors. An avid hunter and woodsman, his happiest days were spent at “the camp” in Musquodoboit, sharing stories, laughter, and the kind of quiet only the forest can give.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Valerie; daughters Kate (Doug) and Krista (Nick); and his four cherished grandchildren, Luna, Vennor, Melody, and Keith, who brought him endless pride and joy. He will also be deeply missed by extended family and friends who will remember his humor, determination, and fiercely loyal heart.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice Halifax and the QEII palliative care team for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Greg’s final months and days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Halifax in Greg’s memory.

Though he has left the woods of this world, Greg’s spirit will forever walk in the places he loved most.
