Kenneth Clifford MacPhee (KC, Kenny), CPA, CMA
Born to Cecil and Betty (Carlson) MacPhee in Kirkland Lake, Ont. From where they left to settle in Rawdon, N.S. with the rest of the MacPhee relatives.
After his Dad died at an early age, Kenny left school, much to his Mothers chagrin, for his first job at Kelly Lake airport. This led him to a career in road building with many companies and ending up as VP with Dillman Ent. to his own company KC MacPhee Contracting Inc. Kenny retired from road building, but never retired from work. He went on to developing land in Cape Breton to wild blueberries for 35 years. Within the later few years, he decided to sell out. He continued to manage the fields for the new owner Peter Van Dyk.
At the end of 2024, he finally took his boots off. 2025 brought in by ill health issues which took him to his beloved Cape Breton home, under palliative care. He died with his wife by his side as he cried out to his Lord and Savior, Jesus, "please take me home". And HE answered his prayer.
He was an avid snowmobiler, with all his "faster, faster" buddies, which miraculously, didn't take them all out, Dale, Scott, Red Hurst, Ivan and the Canning boys.
A man with a big heart, who would rather help others than himself. Lived and loved life up to the last 6 months.
Survived by his wife of 42 years Judith (Judi) Tomada MacPhee, Son Gregory, daughter Kimberley (Wayne) Theodis, Grandchildren Kathleen and James MacPhee, Isaiah Theodis. Sister Sharon Stewart, and cousin, tied to the hip, other brother Robie(Myrna)MacPhee, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his Mother and Father, stepfather Joe Rankoussy, Brothers Mark, Brian , Sister Carol.
Visitation will be held from 12:30pm-1pm Friday July 25th followed by a memorial service at 1pm in Atlantic Funeral Oakridge Chapel 1110 Old Sackville Rd.
