Mattie, Kimberley Nicole

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kimberley Nicole Mattie of Port Hawkesbury and formerly of Monastery, on August 12, 2025. 

She was a beloved daughter, devoted mother, and a light in the lives of all who knew her.

Known for her radiant smile and warm spirit, Nicole had a unique way of making each moment special.  Her smile shined a little brighter watching Logan on the ice playing hockey, cheering for Riley on the baseball field, building Legos with Lylah, or simply enjoying quiet drives and heartfelt talks with Zoey.  Her children will always remember the way she loved them – completely, unconditionally, and with every ounce of her being.

Nicole will especially be remembered as a proud "daddy’s girl", with a bond with her father that remained strong throughout her life.  She also shared a connection with her mother, Darlene.  Nicole inherited Darlene’s quick wit and fiery attitude, a combination that made her both fiercely strong and endlessly entertaining.  Whether she was making someone laugh or standing her ground, Nicole did it with a spark.

Her presence, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Nicole is survived by her loving parents, Danny and Darlene (Glenn) Mattie, and her four greatest achievements – her children:  Logan, Zoey, Lylah, and Riley.  She poured her heart into raising them, and she loved them more deeply than words could ever express.

A private celebration will be held with close family and friends to honour Nicole’s memory.
