Mohammed, Norisha "Nora"

August 19, 1943 - December 19, 2025

Norisha "Nora" Mohammed, originally of Barrackpore, Trinidad WI, passed peacefully surrounded by her family at the Halifax Infirmary on December 19, 2025, after a brief illness.

Nora was predeceased by her parents Haj Mohammed Hosein and Haji Jaitoon Hosein, brother Nazim Hosein, husband Haniff Mohammed, and son Geoffrey Mohammed. She is survived by daughters Jenifer and Susan (Val Kalliecharan), daughter-in-law Lisa (Walker-Mohammed), beloved grandchildren Ashley, Naryan, Vijay, Brodie, Emma, and Sarah, her sister Patricia Gonzales, nephews and nieces, dear friend Shawnette, extended family and many cherished friends.

Nora was married in 1966 and immigrated to Canada shortly after. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends. She was so fond of spending time with loved ones, nurturing them and ensuring they were well fed. She enjoyed many travels with Haniff in her earlier years and more recently enjoyed her frequent trips to Turks and Caicos. More recently, her weekly gatherings with lifelong friends were a great joy.
