Bernard Gordon Morine, 72, of Bear River, passed away in his home on December 15th 2025. He was born to parents Gordon and Idella on March 8th 1953.
Bernie worked as a bricklayer and stone mason for all of his adult life; his wonderful creations can be found all over the place from Digby, Annapolis, Briar Island, Weymouth - even Bermuda!
Bernie enjoyed being in the woods exploring with his 4-wheeler and cutting wood. He took in many community events and enjoyed the music and taking pictures. With sad hearts we will cherish the memories.
Bernie is survived by children: Thomas, Loralie (Monte), Jeremy (Geraldine), Kerry, Benjamin and Maggie. Grandchildren: Montanna, Marlie, Moses, Maryn, Sianna, Breelyn, Dilan and Jude. Sisters: Mae Lyon, Barbara Coffey, Elaine Lavoie, Marilyn Mullen, Wilma Thibideau, Gloria (Leigh) Wright, Sherry Morine and Debbie Morine. As well as several nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Bev Morine, daughter Jennifer Morine, parents Gordon and Idella Morine; in-laws Arthur and Audrey Jefferson; brothers Gerald Morine and Howard Morine; brother in-laws Bill Lyon, Smokey Lavoie, Junie Mullen, and Dean Thibideau.
There will be a funeral at the Bear River Baptist Church (where he rang the bell countless times). Date to be announced.
In memory of Bernie please donate to Lupus Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Bernie was a great guy. Whenever you met him he always liked to chat and he always had a smile. He did our outside fireplace this summer and shared some funny stories with us. He’ll certainly be missed and we’re sending sincere condolences to the family and we hope your precious memories will help comfort you at this sad time. RIP Bernie!

Rest in peace my dear friend
We always had such great chats when we would see you at the store. And we will always remember the December (like this one) that you and Mo built our tall, double chimney and hearth at the lake; when you had to break the ice to get water to mix the cement! ..... we will miss you.
