It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Joyce Stockley of Catalone, on November 3, 2025, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Ingonish on June 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Alfred and Louise (Dupe) Stockley.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Sarah “Sadie”; daughters, Marjorie (Timmy) Spencer, Main-a-dieu, Susan (Everett) Spencer, Albert Bridge and Claudette Stockley, Catalone; sons, Alfred (Patsy), Main-a-dieu, Vern (Christina), Mira Road and Clarence (Dawn), New Boston; sister, Anne Turner, New Waterford; sister-in-law, Betty Stockley; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Carly, Mitchum, Tia, Bradley, Jennifer and Jermey; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Clarence was predeceased by his son, George; one son in infancy; granddaughter, Megan; and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Sydney Memorial Chapel from 4-7 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11 am with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Albert Bridge.
