Karen Ann Machan (75) of Halifax, passed away November 4, 2025 after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her son Ian (Karen), her brothers Pat (Anne-Marie) and David, her nieces Karen, Erin, and Tara, and her nephews Todd and Brett.
She is predeceased by her parents, John and Irene McGrattan and brother Roger.
Karen touched many lives, including staff and students at Dalhousie University where she worked for 25 years. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the staff at the QEII for their care during her hospital stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spay Day Nova Scotia in honour of Karen's love of animals.
