It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Mouland on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born November 15, 1930, in Sydney, he was a son of the late John and Sarah Jane (Noble) Mouland.
Raised in Cape Breton, Walter went to work at the Steel Plant and later as a professional painter. Walter loved his family and with special care was attentive to their needs; the welfare of his children was always a priority to him. They were always in his thoughts and prayers. Walter was a man of deep faith in Jesus Christ and always tried to live a life to honour his Savior, and took special joy to share his faith with others.
Walter is survived by his daughter, Ruth Mouland, Sydney; sons, Timmy and David, both of Sydney; and many close friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Louise (Winnifield) and brothers, Heber, Rudy, Browning and Lindbergh.
Visitation will take place in Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 9th from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, July 10th at 1 p.m. with Pastor William Legge officiating.
Interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
