Anne Marie (Dean) O’Donnell - Age 71, of Port Williams, formerly of Middleton, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Valley Hospice, in Kentville, NS (at a time of her choosing).


Born on February 6, 1954 in Redhill, Surrey, England, she was the eldest child of the late Albert Andrew "Andy" and Lelia Veronica (O’Brien) Dean. Anne immigrated through Pier 21 to Fredericton, NB with her parents and brother, Tony in 1957. She retired in 2009 as library technician at Annapolis East Elementary in Middleton. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, knitting, crocheting, rug hooking and needle work. She enjoyed researching family and recording it in MyHeritage. Family time & good friends were very important to her.


Anne is survived by her loving husband since 1978, Craig; her son, Kenny (Zarina) O’Donnell, and granddaughter, Peyton O’Donnell; her daughter, Heather O’Donnell (Jenn Coolen), and grandson, Myles Dean Coolen. She also leaves siblings: Anthony "Tony" (Bette) Dean, Port Stanley, ON; Linda Galloway, Stratford, PE; Kevin (Dawne) Dean, Arlington, NS; Karen (Noel) Doiron, Winsloe, PE; Kenneth (Sandi), Kingsport, NS. She was predeceased by her sister, Louise Schaffner.


The family would like to thank the many friends and family members who were there to see Anne through her final weeks and days. Thank you to the Valley Hospice and Dr. R. Grayson Lloyd for their wonderful care and compassion.


Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request.


A family celebration of Anne’s life will take place at a later date.
