October 31, 1946 - June 16, 2024
Linda Catherine Rehberg (nee Emslie), age 77 of Eastern Passage, passed away on June 16,2024 at the Dartmouth General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mom was born on October 31, 1946 in Rivers, Manitoba and married the love of her life, Wayne, on February 17, 1968. She travelled with dad as he was stationed, first to Germany, then Greenwood, Winnipeg, Calgary, Kingston and finally back to Nova Scotia. She loved to do crafts, especially knitting and sewing.
Once mom and dad moved back to Nova Scotia they bought a camper and she thoroughly loved her time at the campground with her friends around the campfire. Mom also loved travelling to Florida and the numerous cruises they took while vacationing there.
Mom leaves behind her beloved husband Wayne, daughter Paula (Tomasz) Lange, son Lee, grandchildren Monica, Tristan, Jack and Grayson, her brother Thomas (Jean) Emslie, sister in law Brenda (Rollie) Swinehammer, brother in law David, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Goring.
A memorial service for Linda will take place on Thursday, June 20 at 2 pm at the Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, 5 Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Halifax or Diabetes Canada.
