Beaver Bank, NS
October 25, 1984 - June 21, 2024
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Ryan Anthony Tanner, age 39, of Beaver Bank Nova Scotia, passed away on June 21, 2024 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ryan was grateful for the care and compassion of the doctors, nurses, and medical professionals that assisted him through his journey and lived by the words of letting them deal with his cancer so he could enjoy living his life. Ryan took great pride in knowing how much hope and inspiration he gave to others by sharing his story.
Ryan loved fishing and the great outdoors. Â He loved the cool crisp air of the fall and knowing his hunting season was coming. Â He loved camping, going to the campground, barbecuing and entertaining guests, playing darts and sitting around the campfire. Â But more than anything, he loved his family and friends, his dog Lilly, and the time he spent with the people he cherished the most. Â His smile, sense of humour and laughter were infectious, he was loved by so many, and will be missed beyond comprehension.Â
He is survived by his partner and fiancé Angela, son Lucas, parents George and Denise, brother Chris (Tara) and nephew Logan, sister Melanie (Chris), brother RJ (Jelissa), many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Ryan will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 2pm to5pm at the Bedford Legion, 1772 Bedford Highway, Bedford, Nova Scotia. Should anyone want to wear camo in Ryan’s honour, please feel free to do so.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Ryan’s Memory.
