It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Theresa Burgoyne on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Hospice Cape Breton.

Born March 2, 1938, in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Peggy (McLean) Roach.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Donald, Sydney; son, Paul, Windsor Road; sisters, Marie Campbell-McDonald, Elma Aucoin and Mary Roach; brother, Tom Roach; and grandchildren, Cameron Burgoyne and Duncan Wortman.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 5th at 11 a.m. in St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church with Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County.
