East River Point, NS

April 05, 1929 - October o4, 2025

The family of Lorna Creelman Nauss, age 96, of East River Point, Nova Scotia, is saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, October 4th, 2025.

Born on April 5th, 1929, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Lorna was the daughter of Dr. Prescott A. Creelman and Freida I. (Creighton) Creelman. She passed peacefully at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, William, Lorna and Bill shared 71 joyful years filled with family, travel, and lasting friendships. They met at Mount Allison University, where Lorna graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1951. The couple married in Charlottetown on September 4th of that year.

As a devoted military and foreign service spouse, Lorna accompanied Bill on numerous postings across Canada and abroad, including in Copenhagen and San Francisco, where she made lifelong friends.

Lorna had a deep passion for people, art, and Scottish Country Dancing. Always warm and welcoming, she took a genuine interest in everyone she met—including the four-legged kind. Her playful spirit and sense of humour brought laughter to every gathering.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Meredith Rodger (Elliot) of Ottawa, ON; Karen Nauss-Henry (Reid) of Edmonton, AB; and David Nauss (Marcie Boswell) of Upper Tantallon, NS. Lorna also leaves behind five grandchildren: David Rodger, Mariana Henry Kuchmak, Michael Henry, Charlotte Nauss, and Isaac Nauss; and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Henry.

In keeping with her generous spirit, Lorna donated her body to science. A celebration of life and interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Lorna’s name may be made to Hope For Wildlife.
