It is with profound sadness that we announce Terina Maria Pickering passed away from an unexpected accident on August 26th, 2025 at home in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
She leaves behind her mother, Dorothy McIntyre; sister, Michelle; children, Pilar and Franky Agueci; grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, and Jude, and long-term partner, Dave Pickering.
Born on April 13, 1957, in Woodbridge, Ontario, Terina thrived on caregiving and creativity. Charismatic, charming, and endlessly adaptable, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Those who knew her will remember her love of animals, vast range of skills and her uncanny ability to master new ones.
Developing her passions in the early years, she won sewing and baking competitions at the Woodbridge Fair at the age of twelve. In her teens she made and furbished porcelain dolls, and as an adult she expanded to gardening, renovating, animal husbandry, and more. Her passion for learning led to a variety of careers, stewardess, model, business owner, interior designer, caterer, and caregiver, Terina lived a robust life.
The impact of this tragic accident will be felt by her family, friends, and her beloved animals. Her family appreciates your thoughts and prayers, and kindly request privacy as they grieve.
